We would like to thank everyone who will be volunteering on December 15th to help place the wreaths for Wreaths Across America at Lyons View and Gov John Sevier Veterans State Cemeteries & Knoxville National Cemetery.
***PLEASE NOTE THE JEWISH SYMBOLS POSTED HERE. WREATHS ARE NOT TO BE PLACED ON ANY VETERANS MARKER WHO IS OF THE JEWISH FAITH*** Simply go to the next marker to place your wreath.
The ceremony begins at 12:00 (noon), with the wreath placement immediately afterward. Here are some things to remember about the ceremony:
• People of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.
• Ceremonies around the world will be starting at the same moment, so please be on time.
• Please help ensure that all participants get the opportunity to place a wreath.
• Please follow the location coordinators instructions on where to place wreaths, as well as “how” they should be placed.
The most important thing to remember is to have a wonderful experience participating in the ceremony and thank you so much for helping Wreaths Across America achieve our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach.
Parking Instructions for Gov. John Sevier Veterans Cemetery, there is plenty of parking available in the cemetery, if you would like to park in the church parking lot across the street, we will have police directing traffic so you can safely cross the street, handicap parking is at the chapel, we have a golf cart to transport those needing assistance to tent from parking. Staff will be on hand to help direct you or summons the golf cart.
We look forward to seeing each of you. This is truly a very special ceremony and laying of the wreaths afterwards is something you will never forget.
